Introducing the ECSN team
13 August 2020
ECSN (Exceptionally Complex Support Needs) is an NDIS funded program that was established to create a national network of specialist providers who will assist the NDIA to support the development of support coordination services for NDIS participants with exceptionally complex support needs.
Nulsen acquired the WA arm of the program in collaboration with Development Disability WA (DDWA) through a grant application process in 2019. Our Program Managers, Nickki Rubin (pictured left), Debbie Lobb (pictured right) and Bronwyn Pike from DDWA are currently leading the program, with support from relevant departments across Nulsen Group, to establish communities of practice and provide advice to support coordinators and disability service providers around the provision of services to participants.
There are three key components to the program:
Sector and Community Development: The team actively contribute to initiatives, services and approaches that support the capability of disability and mainstream services and maintain provision of services to people with complex needs.
Consultation (subject matter expertise) Activities: Provide knowledge, resources, and information from broad sector connections to support service policy, procedures, knowledge and confidence of those who provide direct support to participants.
Crisis Response – After hours: Respond to the need for support planning from providers or Support Coordinators for a person 18 years or over who are in crisis and where the persons disability related supports suddenly become ineffective, inadequate or absent.
